Rod Hyland
Principal Assessor/Adjuster
Rod has been assessing since 1991 and has sound knowledge of automobile structure and the results that impact causes. He is an NZTA Certifier and qualified panel beater with over 30 years’ experience in panel repair, machinery, heavy motor repair, structural fabrication, crash and paint work, auto dismantling and importation and assessing.
Rod specialises in Heavy Motor and Machinery , Public Liability, Building, and Motor Vehicle assessments.
Ulrich Schreuder
Senior Assessor
Ulrich has been assessing since 2003 and specialises in Heavy Commercial and Motor Vehicle assessments. He is a licenced SA Audatex, Audanet and Abuntex user and was previously the Northern Claims Specialist for SANTAM LTD in South Africa. He is a qualified panel beater and previously managed a panel shop, gaining extensive experience. He is also well versed in commercial policy interpretation issues, having acted as a commercial underwriting consultant. He has combined insurance and automotive repair experience of over 23 years.
Tracey Currin
Commercial and Property Assessor
Tracey has 17 years’ insurance experience with NZI and IAG in a wide variety of roles including claims, branch management and fire and general assessing. Having owned and operated a dairy farming business alongside her husband, Tracey understands the dynamics of both rural and business life in New Zealand.
Fiona Hyland
Office Manager
Fiona manages the day-to-day running of the office for Nationwide Assessing. Ensuring the administration team are fully compliant with up-to-date systems and methods to ensure a smooth process and quick turnover time.
Fiona’s training and experience support her strong focus on maintaining accurate information and timely responses to all parties. Her specialities include process and systems management, business profiles and social media marketing.
John Westlake
Senior Assessor
John specialises in Heavy Motor Machinery and agriculture equipment assessments. John is an automotive mechanic by trade and has extensive experience in insurance with FMG and NZI.
Peter Padgett
Motor Assessor
Peter has been assessing since 2015 and specialises in Motor Vehicle assessments. He has been a NZTA Light Vehicle certifier since 2009 and is an experienced panel beater who has worked on a range of vehicles since 1978.
Glyn Wilson
Consultant
Glyn is an automotive consultant specialising in motor vehicle certification and assessment. He is an Authorised Repair Certifier & Vehicle Border Inspector with an Advanced NZ Trade Certificate Collision Repair (Panel Beating). He founded V-Cert Pacific in 2002 and is a member of the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers (MIAME).
Jaco Janse van Rensburg
Cyber Assessor
Jaco specialises in cyber security, information technology and business consultancy. He assists in pinpointing specific technology problem areas where companies can add real value and leverage those parts to create commercial differentiation. He has over 25 years’ experience in professional consultancy and IT services.
